The Cost Of Talking
With so many companies offering “the lowest call rates, and the best service” who do you believe and are there any additional costs hidden in the small print? Do they all give per second billing by email, full cost analysis, discounted BT line rental and personal account managers? On mobiles do they offer free connection, and line rentals from £4?
There has never been a better time to review the cost of your telephone charges and the service you are getting. Does it really match your company’s needs? The telephone has been with us for so long we just take it for granted, along with all the services available. Mobile phones too are an essential tool in our need to communicate.
We never give a thought to the length or cost of a call, it’s just another bill that arrives at the end of the month.
Yet how many of us look at the cost of this communication? So it is important to know you are on the best tariff and your provider keeps it that way as well as giving you first class service.
Can you think of a friend or colleague who doesn’t have a mobile phone?. There are now more mobile devices in the UK than there are users. You can now make video calls on your mobile watch TV & play games. Mobile phones are fashion statements too. You can flip, slide, swivel,& twist. plus with so many options how do you know which company, tariff, or phone is the right one to go for? And where is the business benefit from so much choice?
Can your current provider offer you VoIP? (Voice over internet protocol) a type of software and hardware allowing you to use the internet to transmit your calls and save a fortune in line rentals by reducing the amount of lines you need. Can they provide a full VoIP telephone system or a simple converter for your ordinary analogue telephone?
When was the last time you checked if you are really getting value for money with rates generally falling ?
Perhaps the question to ask is what does my business actually need from all it’s phones, both fixed and mobile?
If you need low rates, consolidated services and reliability, then these are probably the same reasons you need to speak to your telecoms provider.

Eagle Eyes Sunglasses - No More Rays
Eagle Eyes sunglasses are designed to block blue light as well as the Ultraviolet rays of the sun. These sunglasses offer you the ultimate protection for your eyes. The Eagle Eyes sunglasses not only give you protection, but they also help to enhance your vision on foggy days as well. This doesn’t mean that if you have a vision problem, Eagle Eyes can fix it for you without a prescription. It means that the technology in these sunglasses helps you see better in different light conditions.
When you first put on the Eagle Eyes sun glasses, it seems as if your surroundings get brighter. This might make you think that the sunglasses are no good. However, in this kind of light, your eyes are comfortable and you don’t need to squint. The Eagle Eyes sunglasses all have the Polarized Selective transmission in the lenses to block blue and violet light, but still let other colors from the spectrum get through.
Unlike ordinary sun glasses, those from Eagle Eyes do not use dark lenses to indiscriminately block different colors. Eagle Eyes sunglasses try to mimic the lenses in the eyes of hawks and eagles to bring you the best possible clarity when you are wearing them. This doesn’t mean that it will look as if you have the eyes of an eagle, but it will certainly feel like it when you wear Eagle Eyes sun glasses.
With Eagle Eyes sunglasses, scenes appear to be more vivid. This is because the lenses in the Eagle Eyes sun glasses enhance the harmless colors, such as red, orange and green, but neutralize harmful blue and violet to appear gray. The unique eye protection you get from the Eagle Eyes line of sunglasses offers you 100% blockage of UV rays.
Have you ever noticed that while sunglasses help you see things clearly outside during the day, when you take them off inside, it is difficult to see at first? Well, with Eagle Eyes sunglasses, you won’t have this problem. Because these sunglasses are so comfortable on your eyes, even when you enter a darkened room, you don’t have to wait for your eyes to adjust to the light. You can have prescription lenses in the Eagle Eyes sun glasses or you can buy clip on sunglasses that fit over your regular glasses. Now how much more convenient can you have it?

The Best Way To Cook Your Freshly Caught Fish
A freshly caught fish can be cooked in a thousand and one ways. Any fisherman worth his salt has his own unique way of cooking a freshly caught trout, salmon or whatever fish he caught. So fisherman all across the country has been handed down methods of cooking fish. Here are some tips to get the best out of your fish.
1.Frying
Breading and frying a freshly caught fish is as good as it gets. The smell of butter emanating from the frying pan and the flair a fisherman puts in flipping his catch is worth its weight in gold, almost. For the novice fisherman, make sure that the butter is extra hot but not yet burning. Also, make sure that the fish is well coated in batter. Season your batter to your heart’s content, salt and pepper never goes wrong. You may want to try other herbs and spices with the batter for a more delicious fish.
2.Grilling
At first glance, grilling would seem to be the easiest way to handle your fish. A newbie might assume that grilling fish is the same as grilling steaks or burgers. Unlike fowl or cattle, fish tends to secret most of its own juices when cooked. On a grill the delicious juice drips into the coals.
To prevent losing the moisture, first coat the fish with oil. The oil will seal a part of the moisture inside. Second, keep an eye on the fillets and turn them as soon as a cut would reveal that the fresh fish is cooked halfway through. After being flipped, watch the fish carefully. Remove the fish as soon as it is cooked through.
An option to basting the fish with oil is to wrap it in aluminum foil. The aluminum foil will keep the moisture and marinate the fish in its own moisture. Placing herbs and spices inside the foil with the fish enhances the grilling process and the fish itself.
3.Baking
Baking is the best option for the fisherman who does not want to watch over the fish during cooking. The fisherman can prepare the marinade and pre-heat the oven, then pop the fish into the oven for a predetermined amount of time. You may want to check on the fish from the time to time, ensuring that you don’t overcook the fish.
Whatever fish you caught, a good recipe and proper cooking will for sure enhance the catch. Take time to prepare for cooking, a badly cooked fish will no doubt spoil your day. Remember the first rule of cooking, don’t overcook your fish.

Vinyl Chloride and Angiosarcoma
The chemical Vinyl Chloride has been historically known to create a number of health problems for decades even before it was known to cause angiosarcoma. The federal government was aware of the risk of Vinyl Chloride and had regulated workers to only be exposed to 500 ppm (part per million) a day. Because Angiosarcoma takes decades to fully develop, the initial studies of vinyl chloride were observing more obvious conditions like liver disease and degenerative bone disorders. In the late 1960’s the connection between Vinyl Chloride and Angiosarcoma presented itself as B.F. Goodrich workers were exposed to above average rates of the chemical. These workers had much higher rates of developing liver angiosarcoma. More studies were conducted after this initial discovery because it seemed strange that such a large number of workers in one plant could suffer from such a rare disease by coincidence.
Scientists have struggled to pinpoint the exact methods by which vinyl chloride causes liver angiosarcoma, but most thought that it was inhaled first, and then transferred into the bloodstream where the liver attempts to filter it. When the liver fails to filter the chemical, it causes serious mutations to the liver cells, resulting in angiosarcoma. Like the B.G. Goodrich cases, numerous more cases were seen in the hairdressing industry. It was later learned that these beauty shop workers used aerosol cans that have vinyl chloride acting as a propellant for the spray. As a result, the government revised the original protective measures to limit vinyl chloride to one ppm per day.

At The Dinner Table
This Article was originally Published in The July 2004 Issue of The ZoneNet Newsletter
It was very hard having an overweight child. Wherever we were, people just stared. I often wondered if she saw what I saw. I wish I could have protected my 8 year old, Jeanine, from the eyes of this world. I wish I could have shielded her from those stares. We never really talked much about it. It was simply too painful. It is almost as if as long as we didn’t talk about it, it was not real. She pretended not to notice but I knew she saw how people reacted to her. She was a smart, perceptive child. From a very early age, she always saw things that I did not even notice. There was that time on a trip to Washington, D.C. she asked me, “Mom, why are there so many homeless people in our nation’s capital?”
I blame myself for her weight problems. We were a generally obese family and we did not practice the best eating habits. We hardly ever exercised. Even our dog was fat. From the beginning, I rewarded her with junk food for everything from getting a good grade at school to being a good girl and doing as she was told. I would wave cookies in front of her so that she would stop crying. By 3 years old, she had started manipulating me instead of the other way around!
I had no idea how much I was really conditioning her to reward herself with food as she got older. It was as if she walked through life feeling she deserved something simply for doing what she was supposed to do. I felt so helpless that it had gotten this far out of control. As she got older and spent more time away from home because of school, I simply could not watch her all the time as she rewarded herself with candy bars and ice cream for no reason at all. And she could get all of this stuff at school too! It was easily accessible to her. She stayed away from anything green unless it was artificially colored. One day at school, Jeanine complained of being dizzy. She experienced short dizzy spells a couple of days following that.
She was unusually tired much of the time. She would snap at her young brother-an infant! She was never this way towards him. We didn’t consider any of these things symptoms of something. We just thought Jeanine’s body was going through changes until one day when she almost fainted in P.E. class.
That very afternoon, the physician diagnosed her with Type one diabetes.
AlThough I wished she did not have to suffer by getting pricked with needles and having to go to the doctor so often, her condition has gotten our entire family involved in eating right. After all, we all eat at the same dinner table. We cut out juices, soda and sugary carbs, which do a real number on blood sugar levels.
Now our 4-person household has lost over one hundred pounds in 6 months. Even our 3-year old shed several pounds! It is a miracle because we do not eat half as much and yet we do not feel hungry like we used to. Jeanine is fitting into smaller and smaller clothes and is a lot more active in extracurricular activities at school. And she no longer sits on the sidelines in gym class. She’s even going to be on the intramural volleyball team next year! The most ironic thing is that Jeanine may have diabetes, but she’s the healthiest that she has ever been in her entire life!

IBC Formation: Are Your Assets Protected?
A ruling recently passed by the Supreme Court has given local governments the power to seize private property to generate tax revenue. This could feasibly enable cities to order the removal of homes to make way for shopping centers or other private development.
The 5-4 decision means that home owners will have more limited rights. Thomas Merrill, a Columbia law professor and a specialist in property rights stated, “The message of the case to cities is yes, you can use eminent domain, but you better be careful and conduct hearings”.
Does this concern you? Only eight states - Arkansas, Kentucky, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Montana, Washington, and South Carolina - forbid the use of eminent domain for economic development unless it is to eliminate blight.
In a scathing dissent, Justice Sandra Day O’Connor wrote, “The specter of condemnation hangs over all property. Nothing is to prevent the state from replacing any Motel 6 with a Ritz-Carlton, and home with a shopping mall, or any farm with a factory.”
The bottom line - protect what you own. Within the last five years there has been an alarming increase in citizen control laws to the extent that your personal right to keep banking activities private and confidential are now being seriously infringed upon. Indeed, creditors and government agencies are well armed with an arsenal of legal maneuvers to strip you of your assets. Bank accounts in your name can be frozen, “Notices of liens” can be placed on your properties, your income can be garnered and even a safety deposit box can be seized with a “writ”.
However, with careful planning and specialized information, your assets can be protected using an IBC to shield your assets. IBCs can protect you from product liability, malpractice suits if you are in the medical field, creditors, and even divorce proceedings. IBCs can also be used to hold real estate, valuable collections, precious metals, and shares of any offshore company of your choice.
More information regarding IBC formation can be found on our website at http://www.confidentialbanking.com/IBC_info.html

What are Advantages of Accessing Public Court Records?
Did you know that there is a way to access information about the people that you deal with everyday? Whether you want to know more about the person you are considering going into business with, a company you want to work for, or even someone you would like to date, a search through public court records can turn up valuable information.
If you are considering a business partnership with an individual or even a corporation, a search through public court records can provide you with the information you need to make wise decisions. Public court records can show you if the individual has been involved in any lawsuits. This information is invaluable when it comes to learning about the business dealings and even the integrity of the person you are thinking about partnering with. Public court records can also show if there are any liens or judgments against the individual that might cause you to reconsider a partnership. Having the information contained in public court records can help you to determine if proposed business partnership is the best course of action for you.
If you are considering leaving a secure job to go to work for a small rather unknown company, having a look at public court records can help you to know if it is a good idea. Public court records can show you if the company has been sued and if so what the outcome of the lawsuit was. You can research whether the company has ever filed for bankruptcy or had tax issues. Public court records can even give you information about the owners of the company. By using the information found in public court records, you can learn about the companies past dealings and make a reasonable and informed decision about changing jobs.
In today’s world, you have to be so careful about personal safety. It is hard to trust that the person you met online or at a bar is everything that they say they are. The newspapers constantly turn up stories of love gone bad, making you wonder if the people would have even been together if they had known everything there was to know about each other. Through public court records, you can find out if the person you met at a party last week has a criminal record. By researching public court records, you can learn if they have ever been arrested or even sued. You can even find out if the new guy at the office is divorced or how many failed marriages he has had. With a perusal through public court records, you can even learn how much of his paycheck is going to support his ex-wife.
Public court records are valuable sources of information that can help you not only in business, but in your personal life as well.

You Can Sell Anything By Telephone!
Just this week, one of my coaching clients asked me this question:
“Do you think we can sell our product by telephone?”
It’s a question that I’ve been hearing for years in my seminars. Can X or Y be sold this way?
Finally, I wrote the best-selling book, YOU CAN SELL ANYTHING BY TELEPHONE!
I stand by this claim; you can still do it, and the onus is on others to prove you cannot.
But here’s the key, what I didn’t reveal in the title: You may or may not be able to do it, profitably.
For example, a client that I had done a great job for in the security alarm business decided to buy an interest in a well known consumer electronic technology, and he called me and asked, “Can we sell this by phone?”
Quickly, I calculated that it would be difficult, but achievable. In other words, yes it can be done; but no, it cannot be done, profitably.
My instincts told me you just won’t get the number of sales to make this a paying proposition, when compared to using alternatives, such as direct mail, and retail sales channels.
Anyway, he pushed me for a simple yes or no and I told him it would cost him a day of my time so I could hear more about the pricing, packaging, promotional accompaniments, and so on.
He declined to retain me for that, and he went on to lose millions trying to sell this device by phone.
As you can imagine, I use this example in many ways, to not only demonstrate something about the telephone as a sales tool, but also something about the value of information and reasoned, seasoned judgment.
So, the next time you hear or ask this question, appreciate the answer is yes, but there is always an asterisk next to the word!

The Apple of my Eye
It appears that Apple has done it again, folks! I’m sure you
have all seen the television commercials, or heard the radio
spots, or viewed the ads on your computer. The little company
that could has done it again, with the introduction of the iPod
Video. Does it really come as such a surprise, though?
It seems that Apple is a company that cannot fail. Sure, they
had some difficult times in the past. With so many aggressive
plays by Microsoft back in the day, it is unlikely that any tech
company would have weathered them with ease. But Apple has
always had something that all of Bill Gate’s money could never
buy; a true connection with their users.
Since introducing the iPod a few years ago, Apple has seen
steady and sustained growth that does not appear to be waning
anytime soon. Especially, as they seem to update the iPod every
few months now. Dammit, I just bought my iPod Mini a few months
ago and they have discontinued it already! They didn’t simply
discontinue it, though. They replaced it with the iPod Nano,
which is smaller, slicker, and has a color screen. I wanted one
as soon as I saw it, or at least until I saw the iPod Video.
Now Apple has introduced -drum roll- to much fanfare, the iPod
Video! I was certain that the next iPod would have a video
camera in it, but perhaps they are saving that for next month.
Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple, didn’t seem too keen on the idea
of a video iPod a few short years ago. Funny how things change,
huh? They have also announced a partnership with Disney, in
which they will provide customers with Disney’s feature films
through the iTunes store. You can be sure that Pixar films are
on the way, too.
The new iPod Video comes in 30 and 60 Gigabyte models with color
screens. You can now store music, graphics, pictures, and video
on your iPod. It also comes with a video output that will allow
you to hook it up to your television or video projector. I can
hardly believe all of the features that the iPod now has. I
suspect that the inclusion of a video camera and a cell phone
with give Apple complete market domination. They should be out
in a couple months, or so one would think. The only thing
missing after that would be a Star Trek-type teleporter!
Remember, you heard it here first!
